Elevating a Boutique Tea Experience Across Every Touchpoint
Role: Creative Director & Lead Designer
Disciplines: Brand Identity, Systems Design, Print & Packaging, E-Commerce UI/UX
Tea Sip needed a visual identity as refined as its product. As the sole Creative Director and designer, I architected a comprehensive brand evolution that unified their Houston-based retail presence with a high-performance digital storefront. By bridging the gap between tactile print collateral and a conversion-focused web experience, I created a cohesive 360° brand ecosystem designed for both local engagement and global scale.

The Challenge: From Local Shop to Lifestyle Brand
Tea Sip possessed a passionate following but lacked a unified "source of truth" for its visual identity. To scale, the brand needed more than just a logo—it needed a scalable design system that could live comfortably on a retail window in Houston, a custom tea tin in a customer's kitchen, and a mobile-first e-commerce site.
Step 1: The Visual Foundation (Branding & Identity)
The first objective was to polish the existing brand assets into a professional, scalable system. I revamped the core logo and established a robust Brand Style Guide to ensure total consistency for all future growth.
Refined Identity
I modernized the logo for better legibility at small scales (tags/mobile) while retaining the brand’s organic, "steeped" roots.
Color & Type Architecture
Established a vibrant, nature-inspired palette and a typographic hierarchy that balances a modern sans-serif for clarity with a "handwritten" script for personality.
Step 2: The Physical Experience (Print & Packaging)
To enhance the "unboxing" and retail experience, I designed a suite of custom print collateral. Each piece was designed to serve as a brand ambassador once the product left the store.
Tactile Storytelling
Designed custom bag tags and shipping inserts that utilized the new brand patterns, turning a simple purchase into a premium gift-like experience.
Brand Persistence
Created custom magnets and "Recipe Cards" that provided value to the user while keeping the Tea Sip brand top-of-mind in their daily routine.
Step 3: The Digital Transformation (Web UI/UX)
The web experience was redesigned with a dual-focus strategy: building emotional engagement on the homepage and driving transactional efficiency on the product pages.
The Homepage: Engagement & Education
Lifestyle-Led Design
I utilized full-width, high-quality imagery and modular content blocks to tell the story of "how to steep" and the "Tea Sippin’ Club".
Seamless Navigation
Optimized the mobile and desktop headers to ensure that "finding your match" was an effortless, discovery-based journey.

The Product Detail Page (PDP): Conversion-First Logic
Information Architecture
I redesigned the PDP to prioritize the "Add to Cart" flow while neatly organizing complex product data—like caffeine levels, brew guides, and organic ingredients—into a scannable, high-contrast UI.
Social Proof & Validation
Integrated a clean, high-legibility review system and "You May Also Like" cross-sell modules to increase average order value and user trust.

The Outcome: A Unified 360° Brand
The result is a brand that feels premium, professional, and consistent across every interaction. By handling both the creative direction and the individual execution, I ensured that the technical precision of the UI matched the artistic spirit of the physical packaging—providing Tea Sip with the toolkit needed to thrive in both the Houston retail market and the competitive world of e-commerce.
